Rose Higham-Stainton is a writer and critic whose work explores gender and art-making and is held in the Women’s Art Library at Goldsmiths College. She is a frequent contributor to Flash Art, and is published by LA Review of Books, ArtReview, TANK, Apollo, Texte zur Kunst, The White Review, Art Monthly, Bricks from the Kiln and Worms Magazine among others. She has published several chapbooks including Herēma (Sticky Fingers Publishing) and Foam of the Daze (Bottlecap Press) and her debut book Limn the Distance was published in 2023 by JOAN. Rose also runs the ongoing event series and project FENWOMEN, which gathers women, non-binary and trans writers from across East Anglia and invites others in.
When she's not writing, she works in small-scale farming, as a vegetable grower.
