Rose Higham-Stainton is a writer and critic whose work explores gender and art-making, and man's construction of nature. She is a contributor to Flash Art, Mousse, LA Review of Books, ArtReview, TANK, Texte zur Kunst, The White Review, Art Monthly and Worms Magazine among others. Rose has written catalogue essays and texts for the likes of Amy Sillman, Lynda Benglis, Ryan Gander and Maeve Brennan. Her pamphlets include Herēma (Sticky Fingers Publishing) and Foam of the Daze (Bottlecap Press) and her debut book Limn the Distance was published in 2023 by JOAN. Rose also runs the ongoing event series and project FENWOMEN, which gathers women, non-binary and trans writers from across East Anglia and invites others in.
When she's not writing, Rose works as a grower and market gardener.
